PhD RD (Registered Dietitian)
When I had my tonsils out aged 7, unhealthy I enjoyed hospital so much I didn’t want to go home! That started my love affair with the health service. Later my Mum, denture herself trained as a hospital caterer, thought dietetics would be a great choice given my love of food (and perpetual battle with my weight!). My final year dissertation was on food allergy and asthma, starting a life-long passion for food allergy which led ultimately to the completion of a PhD.
My interests in food and nutrition are wide-ranging (especially the eating of it!), and I strongly believe in the importance of debunking the many myths surrounding nutrition, allergy and other related topics.
